Description

Built in 1899-1902 in neo-renaissance style with elements of early modernism. The archives of 1871 describe the estate, which was quite typical for the then Kyiv: a one-storey house with thirteen rooms, a wooden outhouse, an economic yard with a stable, a cartwright and a barn, two front gardens, a wooden bathhouse and an orchard with an arbor. The construction of this house, which was supposed to be the highest in Kyiv at that time, aroused keen interest in the local press, which closely followed the construction process. Thus, the newspaper Kyivlyanin in August 1900 reported that the construction of the box of the house was already completed, and an approximate estimate of the work was about 300,000 rubles.
