On the stage of Radio City Music Hall there are many theatrical performances: musicals, ballet, operas, etc. It was created on the basis of The Rockettes dance group from St. Louis in 1932. From 1932 until his retirement in 1974, the theater was headed by choreographer Leon Leonidov. At various times there were such music ceremonies as Grammy (5 times), MTV Video Music Awards (11 times) and many others. The building is decorated with the figure “The Spirit of Dance” by William Zorach.
