“Richard’s Castle – The Lionheart” – the poeticized name of a monument of architecture of the XIX century, built in the style of the British Gothic. Named Victor Nekrasov in honor of King Richard the Lionheart, the hero of the novel by Walter Scott “Ivanhoe”. The house in the form of an ancient castle is set on the complex relief of the former chronicle mountain of Vozdushnitsy just below St. Andrew’s Church.nAt various times, well-known Ukrainian artists Krasitsky, Makushenko, Balavensky lived in the house.nThe history of the house and its inhabitants is devoted to several windows of the One Street Museum. The museum presents personal items and artwork of the inhabitants of the house, as well as photos and plans of the Castle of Richard.
