In the refectory of this temple is one of the most famous frescoes in the world – “The Last Supper” by Leonardo da Vinci.nBuilt in 1469 under the laws of the late Gothic, under the leadership of Guiniforte Solari. In 1490, Lodovico Sforza decided to place here the tomb of the ducal house of Sforza and entrusted the completion of the church to the master of the Renaissance school (it is believed that it was Bramante).nOn August 15, 1943, the refectory was bombed by Anglo-American aircraft, but the fresco by Leonardo was not damaged by a miracle. In 1980, the whole monastic complex was declared a World Heritage Site – the first in Italy.
