Description

Plaza de España is one of the central squares of Madrid, a major traffic intersection of the city. In the center of the square is a fountain dedicated to Miguel Cervantes and his heroes. In addition, the square is framed by buildings that are the hallmarks of Madrid: the Tower of Madrid (1957) and the Spain building (1953), as well as the Gaillardo House and the Asturian Mine Company, built in the style of Madrid modernism. Occupying 36,900 sq.m., the area of Spain is the largest in the country.
