For its construction, an area of about 100 hectares was allocated in the gorge of the Vere River. Natural conditions for animals in the zoo artificially created conditions that are as close as possible to natural conditions (rocks, waterfalls, pools, vegetation, lawns). In the zoo were a monkey, aquarium, terrarium.nIn the Tbilisi zoo, endemic species of individuals common in the Caucasus and, in particular, in Georgia were widely represented: mountain tour, bezoar goats, mouflons, chamois, roe deer, Caucasian pheasant, Caucasian mountain turkey, mountain eagle, etc.
