Tekeli Mehmet Pasha Mosque

The Tekeli Mehmet Pasha Mosque was built by order of the great Vizier Mehmed Pasha and named in his honor. In the XVIII century it was the main mosque of the city.nAccording to the assumptions of archaeologists and historians, the mosque was erected at the end of the XVI – beginning of the XVII century, there is no exact information about the date of construction and the name of the architect. In the 1850s and 1940s, the mosque underwent reconstruction. Also in 2018, reconstruction of the minaret and the western part of the dome began, which is planned to be completed by 2020.
