Monument to Ataturk

The monument dedicated to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the famous founder of the Republic of Turkey, is located on the Republic Square, in the very busy historical center of Antalya. In Turkey, Ataturk is loved and many consider him their idol. The monumental composition was created in 1933; it introduces us to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and his associates, where Mustafa Kemal is depicted sitting on a horse, and his associates on foot, with bare torsos. If you look from afar, the companions of Mustafa Kemal remind you of the heroes of ancient Greece. This monument attracts many with its beauty – several female and powerful figures of men with muscular, strong arms and delicious torsos rush in a single impulse to a bright future, which their leader Kemal Ataturk truly believes in. Behind the monument is an observation deck located above the cliff, from where an amazing view of Antalya opens.
