The Victor Emmanuel II Gallery is a shopping complex in the city of Milan, one of the first passages in Europe. The gallery is named after King Victor Emmanuel II. It was built by the architect Giuseppe Mengoni in 1865-1877. The monument of architecture, a landmark of Milan, is open to the public 24 hours a day. The gallery hosts concerts and exhibitions.nThe gallery building has the shape of a Latin cross with an octagonal center, decorated with mosaics depicting four continents (except Australia), as well as allegorical images of art, agriculture, science and industry. Above the gallery is covered with a dome of glass and iron.
