Description

Built by an architect Vladimir Nikolaev in 1897 in the style of neo-classicism. The Zaitsevs (the sugar manufacturers) lived in the mansion until 1918 and did not want to leave their property, hoping that turbulent times would pass. However, in the end the family left for Odessa, leaving not only the real estate, but all the furniture. Since 1919, the former Zaitsevs mansion was occupied by the consulate of China, that is why the house avoided robbery during the riots and change of power. The description of the property, dated by November 25, 1920, has been preserved: among the furniture there are chairs, armchairs, books, a grand piano, billiards, etc.
