Despite the request of hoteliers, Tayrona will close from June 1
From 1 to 15 June will be a new period of closure of Tayrona Park and its beach areas. “From tomorrow first until next June 15, as it is done every year, within the framework of the campaign # RespiraTayrona and in compliance with the prior consultation with the four indigenous peoples of the Sierra, Tayrona National Natural Park will be temporarily closed”reported the entity.
It should be noted that this closure is part of the agreements concluded with the indigenous peoples and the authorities. “The closure will take place during two bank holidays in June, which, although an overflowing number of visitors is not expected, would be like putting another barrier to the reactivation of this area of the city,” said Omar García, executive president of Cotelco Magdalena.
