Description

Belesguard Tower is one of the small but precious creations of the great Gaudi. The order for a house with a tower, designed to remind you of the rich and glorious history of Spain, was received by Gaudi from the rich widow Maria Sages in 1900. This place is also associated with the name of the legendary Catalan robber Sierralong – in the catacombs of a medieval castle, he successfully hid from justice. Now the house-tower belongs to the family of Hiler, who opened it to the public in 2013. The appearance of the tower-house resembles a medieval castle: powerful walls, narrow long window-holes, miniature semi-circular balconies with stone scallops and a gallery with a battlement on the top floor.
