Most of the exhibits are transferred from private collections and collected by the monks of the monastery.nAbbot Bonaventura Ubak, who brought archaeological, ethnological and zoological artifacts to the monastery from his travels in the Middle East, engendered the tradition of gathering.nCurrently, the museum stores and displays a collection of more than 1,300 items reflecting the thousand-year history of the monastery, as well as the archeology collection of the biblical Middle East, the iconography of the Virgin Mary, jewelry, painting and sculpture, a unique collection of Orthodox icons. Two exhibitions are constantly open, the content of which changes on average every five months.
