Pinacoteca Brera

Pinacoteca de Brera is one of the largest galleries in Milan. There are 38 halls in the gallery with paintings arranged both in chronological order and in painting schools (Venetian, Tuscan, Lombard).nThe collection of the Pinakothek presents works by such artists as Ambrogio Lorenzetti, Donato Bramante, Raphael, Mantegna, Piero del Francesca, Gentile da Fabriano, Carpaccio, Tintoretto, Lorenzo Lotto, etc. The Brera Observatory hosted the astronomer Giovanni Schiaparelli for four decades, and the Orto Botanico di Brera is a historic botanical garden located behind the Pinacoteca.
