Located at the foot of Montjuic. The square was built for the World Expo in Barcelona in 1929. In the center there is a huge monument fountain with numerous sculptures. Near the square is located the Arena of Barcelona reconstructed into a shopping and recreation complex, the Catalonia Barcelona Plaza Hotel, the Palace of Communications and Transport, the main pavilion of the Fira Barcelona exhibition and fair complex.
