Description

The palace was built in 1851-1852 for the nobleman Zeno Brzhozovsky. As contemporaries noted, he seemed to have served as a kind of counterweight to the Vorontsov Palace, which lay on the opposite side of the Military gully (now the Military descent).nnIn Soviet times, the palace, office buildings and courtyards were used by various government agencies. By the end of the XX century, the palace came to a decrepit state. The restoration lasted from 2000 to 2004.
