The palace park is adjacent to the north shore of Lake Tegel. Currently, the Heinz family, the direct descendants of the Humboldt family, lives in the palace.nThe manor house in the Renaissance style was built on this place in 1558. By order of Elector Friedrich Wilhelm of Brandenburg, it was rebuilt into a hunting palace. In 1766, as a result of the marriage, the palace passed into the possession of the Humboldt family and became their family nest.nThe palace park also houses the family vault of Humboldt laid by Schinkel in 1829, in which Alexander and Wilhelm Humboldt also found their last refuge. In 1983, the palace park was taken under state protection as a historical monument.
