Cafe “Four cats” – a bohemian cafe in the medieval quarter of Barcelona, ​​opened in 1897 in the image and likeness of the Parisian “Black Cat”.nOriginally included a small hotel and a cabaret. Most notably, his regular guests were Pablo Picasso and his famous friend Antonio Gaudi, the sculptor Julio González and the composer Isaac Albéniz and many other talents of the “beautiful era.” In 1900, the cafe held the first two solo exhibitions of works by Picasso.nDuring the reign of Franco, the cafe building was demolished, but in the 1970s. it was completely restored in its original form as part of a program to increase the attractiveness of Barcelona for tourists.
