Description

“Warrior-Liberator” – a monument in Berlin’s Treptow Park. One of the three Soviet war memorials in Berlin. The monument is a symbol of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and the Second World War, and the liberation of the peoples of Europe from Nazism.nThe monument is the final part of the triptych, which also consists of the monuments to the “Front to the Front” in Magnitogorsk and “The Motherland Calls!” On Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd. It is understood that the sword, forged on the banks of the Urals, was later raised by the Motherland in Stalingrad and dropped after the Victory in Berlin. The center of the composition is a bronze figure of a Soviet soldier standing on the wreckage of the swastika. In one hand, a soldier holds a lowered sword, while the other supports a German girl saved by him.
