Новогодние ритуалы со всего мира, для привлечения удачи и денег New year’s rituals from around the world to attract good luck and money

The new year is often associated with magic and miracles. For a Christmas table make a wish and wish others success in the coming year.

Almost every nation in the world has in its Arsenal a Christmas tradition, designed to make their next year better. Here are a few rituals to attract good luck and money for those seeking prosperity in the New year:

  1. To put money under the rug.
To have more money next year, you have until the clock strikes midnight to put money under the rug – as some Romanians. They believe that it ensures prosperity in the coming year. To increase your chances of success, you need to celebrate the new year in red underwear and smash the glasses, the classic shouts of “happy new year”.
  2. Burn “old man.”
In some southern areas of Mexico, people leave last year behind, burning the midnight made in advance mannequin of a man in full growth. It is called “el viejo” (grandpa) or “ano viejo” (last year). They close the old cycle and start all over again. This ritual can be found in other countries of Latin America, for example, in Ecuador, where these mannequins can look like anything from politics to evil cartoon characters.
  3. To turn on the oven and turn on the music.
To fulfill the desire to attract money and prosperity you need to sweat a little bit. Many in Trinidad and Tobago believe that the main thing is to make the house clean and tidy and also to prepare for the holiday tasty food. Locals say that dreams come true if on new year’s table will be serving their black peas. And while cooking the festive dinner will sound parang (a kind of folk music, which is performed mainly at Christmas), then good luck in the coming year will stop at nothing.
  4. Fill your home with money and a round fruit.
In the Philippines for the new year, people wear clothing with polka dots and jump as high as possible at midnight. To bring into your home prosperity in the coming year, the Filipinos dropped at midnight the coins in each room. In rural areas customary new year’s eve to keep the lights on and the table must be present 12 round fruits.
  5. To eat the grapes, and take the suitcase.
In some countries, such as Venezuela or Bolivia, people believe that luck comes if you eat exactly 12 grapes at midnight. For those who want to travel in the coming year, there’s this ritual: take a suitcase and roll it on your block or around the house. And to end the night have a counting money – this will give more of an opportunity to spend money on upcoming travel.
  6. To do good.
The people of Afghanistan believe that if you start the first day of the new year with good deeds, then the year will be successful. On New year they prepare a salad from seven fruits and nuts, and when cooking green wear green clothing.

Of course, not all superstitions can work. Not always a symbol of the year lives up to expectations. However, it’s better to listen to folk wisdom. And if you do at least some of these will take, perhaps, the White Bull will fulfill them! The important thing is to believe and live with a good mood. Faith and a good mood make you more self-confidence and increase energy. And positive-minded people attract success easily and improve relations.
