Montjuic

Montjuic is a famous mountain in the Catalan capital Barcelona, ​​located in the administrative unit of the same name in the urban area of ​​Sants-Montjuic. Montjuic’s height is 173 m. Here, Barcelona hosted the 1929 World’s Fair and the 1992 Summer Olympics. Thanks to its many attractions and magnificent parks, Montjuic attracts both tourists and Barcelona. The origin of the name of the mountain has not yet been precisely established. The two main versions say that Montjuic can be a “mountain of Jupiter” (from lat. Mons Jovicus) or a “Jewish mountain” (from starokatalan. Mont juïc).
