Stockholm metro – the longest art gallery!
The Stockholm metro was opened in the fifties of the twentieth century. Its total length exceeds one hundred kilometers and includes 100 stations on four different lines – red, green, blue and yellow (the construction branch) beautiful city – Stockholm.

All this is due to the fact that the metro is served by companies with whom the contract is on a competitive basis. Also, the state invests half a million euros in the development of the underground. Given the turnover, which is more than 870 000 people/day all costs are fully recovered.
Schedule and cost
Trains are operated by machinists and run on schedule. Usually at idle the clock frequency is six times per hour, so the cars can for a few minutes to stop at the stations and wait for passengers.
The fare is quite high of 1.30 € per trip. You can purchase a magnetic card with an unlimited number of trips. And single tickets and season tickets are bought in grocery shops or kiosks with the press. The vending machines tickets are not available at all stations.
Prospects
Authorities want to expand the metro network to the East, so by 2022 it is planned to build the yellow branch, a total length of about five miles with three stations.
The Stockholm metro system, in particular its pearl – blue branch, it is recommended to visit the many tourists who once visited there. This is a great opportunity to enjoy masterpieces of contemporary artists, without interrupting Affairs.
