The New National Gallery is an art museum in Berlin as part of the Berlin State Museums dedicated to the art of the 20th century.nThe museum building was built according to the project and under the direction of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and is considered an icon of classical modernism. Along with the Berlin Art Gallery and the Museum of Decorative and Applied Art, the New National Gallery is one of the main museum institutions in the Berlin Culture Forum.nThe new national gallery houses paintings and sculptures of the 20th century from the classical modern to the art of the 1960s. The gallery clearly traced the traditions laid down by the German art historian Ludwig Justi when creating the collection in 1919-1937.
