After the war, in 1956 to 1960, the building was reconstructed. The restoration was led by architect Jürgen Emmerich. Currently, the building is included in the Kulturforum, although liturgical meetings are still held here. Currently, the building exhibits a number of works of contemporary art, using to some extent evangelical themes.
