The collection of the gallery contains recognized masterpieces of world painting by such masters as: Albrecht Durer, Lukas Cranach the Elder, Botticelli, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio, Bosch, Bruegel, Peter Paul Rubens and Rembrandt. Opened in 1830 and reconstructed in 1998. The art gallery currently houses more than 3,500 paintings and 3,000 original picture frames, currently divided into ten divisions.
