Georgia, located at the junction of Europe and Asia, combines a unique climate, sea and mountains. This is a country of distinctive traditions, rich folklore, history and ancient cultural heritage. The Georgian tradition of winemaking dates back 8000 years and is recognized by UNESCO as the property of the world intangible heritage. Also on this list are: Georgian polyphonic singing, the city of Mtskheta, Gelati Monastery and Zemo Svaneti. There are about 300 mountain, seaside climatic, balneological and mud resorts in the republic.
